Mostly because critics get paid based upon their approval ratings. they say a antional movie sucks, they get no bonus. It is all a sham, same with books. Critically acclaimed movies only get good ratings because they pay out advertising and critic money.

action picture critics base their comments on what they sense a action picture ought to have. they did no longer think of that the plot and sublot and diffused nuances and different issues have been good. issues that no person rather cares approximately different than action picture critics who've some distance too lots time on their palms. the undeniable fact that Revenge of the Fallen made $4 hundred million shows that critics are fairly much consistently incorrect. it particularly is the objective audience that makes a action picture, no longer the critics. i think of their interest must be constrained to a overview and that's it.

Because critics, especially movies critics, are some of the most useless people on the planet. They make nothing, produce nothing yet they try to define for everyone what is good and bad. They tend to like artistic movies and hate action/adventure and comedy movies. I never, ever pay attention to critics. The fact that there are thousands of movie, dozens of cars, thousands of songs, plays, operas, etc.... tells you that everyone likes different things.

because most of the critics are old and have a different taste in movies. They need to hire some young people.

because they are 'film' critics reviewing 'movies'.
not every movie is meant to be "The Godfather". Some movies are just to have a good laugh on a Saturday afternoon.

because they dont take the target audience into account..they use their own personal taste. I never listen to them unless they review for the demographic.

Because they want you to waste your money on something they think you're going to actually watch whereas you'll probably just go watch something they think is SO boring.
