No. Some women want sex all the time, not just certain times of the month. Women are fertile 2 weeks before her period.

That's absurd. Perhaps your girl is not really into you, (no offense) and she's using her cycle as an excuse. Even though there is a stronger drive during ovulation (survival of the species), when a woman is happy with her lover, there is no limitation as to the days she wants or can have sex. Even during their period, some women are very sexual (it's wonderful for cramps, though I recommend the shower to avoid the mess.) Perhaps this particular girl has a low sex drive. But it is not true that women are limited in their sexual times.

For the first person who answered, was bryan an accident?

Because a woman is not fertile 2 weeks after her period. Ovulation occurs between days 11-16 of her cycle. A cycle begins when the period begins. It last about 2-3 days, at which point a clear, elastic mucus is produced to protect and guide the sperm until it reaches the egg.

Sex drive varies from woman to woman, and it depends on a lot more than hormones.

While there may be some biological basis for the idea that women get horny the week immediately prior to ovulation -- since sex during this time would be most likely to result in conception -- not every woman feels this surge. And not every woman dislikes sex when premenstrual or while menstruating.

Moreover, factors like health, stress, and the quality of the overall relationship impact sex drive as much as -- or more than -- hormones do.

Period, no period; the drive has nothing to do with that. A kind and caring and sweet mate is all that's needed for that coveted overdrive.
