PROS- The controller its self is fun, innovative, and something new that isn't going to be like an eye toy where it's cool at first but gets boring. The 250 price point makes it the most affordable system and is worth more than the money, unlike ps3 and xbox 360. You can go on the internet via built in wi-fi and check local weather. You can purchase classic games using wii-points that are a reasonable price. It has the best games no contest, because nothing can beat Zelda.(yet). It can play all gamecube games and has memory card and controller ports for it. An sd memory card can be used in it to make home movies, mess with pictures, and play music. I think. You'll be able to get one by s-mas, unlike the PS3. The games are only 50. Sleek design. You can use the controller like a light gun when you play in arcades.(haven't you always wanted to do that?) Your parents will be able to play it. Or non-gamers.
CONS- It is more powerful than the xbox, but very much lacking in graphics compared to the PS3. It's white, and white gets dirty easy, although you can buy console skins for 20 and remote ones for 10. The controllers are wireless, so you have to use batteries. You have to use double sided tape to stick the sensor bar on your tv. The back of the system is really ugly. It's small,, so it could break easy. 1/3 of the games available by the end of the year are based on a movie,tv show, or is for little kiddies.
overall it's a great system and well worth the money.

Pros - actual system is much cheaper than playstation 3 or xbox, will play game cube games, supposedly a lot are shipping so there shouldn't be a shortage, large variety of launch titles, suitable for all age groups
cons - if there is a shortage and you didn't preorder you're not going to be able to find one, they redesigned the controller and i'm skeptical about how well it will work out (but it sounds cool), ebgames selling a ridiculously priced bundle where you can't even pick your own games...

Pros:
Pointable, moveable, built-in speaker controller. Cheaper than the other new systems, and you can play all of da old nintendo games on it.
Cons:
At least one - the name. "I gotta Xbox" sounds, cool, but "I gotta wii" might provoke a response such as "Down the hall, to the left".

PROS- Much more family fun games father than shooters and hack and slash adventures on the PS3 and 360. Also the motion detector is simply amazing.
CONS- It is not HD enabled.
