Temp files in the users folder are where images are stored. All can be deleted, but can be recovered with the right software. The only way to properly delete everything is by reformatting the hard drive.

There's several more ways. And some of them are not deletable by normal means. Use privacy software, usually they offer a free trial. They do a fairly decent job. Now, if you're just worried about someone finding out that you've been watching porn, then just clearing the history is fine. The other ways that you can find out are unreliable, time-consuming and few people know about them. If you really want to be thorough, though, use privacy software like I said. I think there's one on download.com that's called Cyberscrub, try that. But like I said... Just clearing the history will repel anything but the most computer-literate, dedicated people.

In Internet Explorer: Tools \ Internet Options \ Delete Cookies \ Delete Files and offline content \ Clear History \ OK.

Back to Tools \ Contents \ Autocomplete: uncheck all \ Clear Forms \ Clear Passwords \ OK.

Right click on Start \ left click on Explore \ Local Settings \ Delete all the Temp and Temp Internet Files. Restart your computer.

Behave yourself, OK? ;-)

There are two more items of interest: the temporary internet files and browsing history. Temporary internet files are in

C:\Documents and Settings\ Your username here\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files

"Local settings" is hard to get into. You will need to go to My Computer>tools>folder options>view>show hidden files and folders first.

Of course, its much easier to just ust the tools>clear private data function on Firefox. It will also allow you to remove browsing history!

Porn. Don't let it complicate YOUR life.

he he he he

Okay. Seriously now, the cache, temporary items, and some little files that list your searches, usually ".data" files. Be careful, oh so careful. this doesn't count any log your ISP may keep od your visits to various places on the net.
