You have nothing to lose to just be sweet and kind saying nice things as she departs, it is showing that you have character. You may never see her again but you made her feel cared for even if it was not completely truthful.
There is nothing ever wrong with showing kindness to another human being. Perhaps she will pay it forward.

dont play it off you were friends with her for a reason but you will brush it off and keep stepping because thats how **** works. just because she moves away doesnt mean everything is done. there's ppl everywhere make new friends.
