we live in a mobile home and need to install duct work to a new electric furnace that we just had installed. can we run one piece of flexible duct work the entire length of the trailer and just cut the duct work and put an adaptor to run up into each room or do we have to put a metal box under the furnace and run 5 seperate pieces of flexible duct (one to each room)? we have no idea how to do this but we have run out of money and cant pay the guy who was suppposed to do it so we better learn quick. how big should the flexible duct be? what do i hang it with? etc? any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

jdebord about said it. You don't want flex duct next to the heat source. put a metal box in and run the duct from there.

WOW...tHE CRITICAL THING IS THAT YOU GETENOUGH AIR FLOW ACROSS THE ELEMENTS. yOU COULD PROBABLY USE THE EXISTING LINE THAT RUNS THROUGH THE BELLY. i WOULD RUN INSULATED FLEX TO THE MAIN TRUNK LINE. dEPENDING ON WHAT SIZE FURNACE YOU HAVE, 2 12" LINES SHOULD HANDLE IT.
