No offense to a previous answer, but I cannot imagine a turkey heated up in a crock pot...

Martha Stewart will tell you how to prepare a la di da Thanksgiving dinner - get ready for a lot of work
I have seen that Rachel Ray (the woman who never sleeps) is running a Thanksgiving dinner in One Hour television special. Look for it soon on Food Network
Go to Epicurious.com for answers on how to prepare the dishes you want to serve.
Make it simple! No one needs 7 vegetables and three kinds of potatoes! Simplify. Consider buying your gravy already made from a store like Boston Chicken. Don't make your own cranberry either or the pies if all of this is new to you. Thanksgiving is daunting enough to the experienced! Newcomers should take the easy route wherever possible.
Thanksgiving is about loved ones and giving thanks, not for losing your mind in the kitchen!
Happy Holidays!

Remove the plastic bag inside the turkey BEFORE you cook it!
Honestly, fried turkey is some of the best meat I've ever tasted. I bought my turkey fryer at Dick's Sporting Goods.

You will not fail if you make a Honeysuckle White Turkey. I do it every year and everyone raves about my turkey. Make it simple, not too many side things, Mashed Potatoes, Pie, Pumpkin or Apple, some cranberry or cranberry or pumpkin bread is nice

everyone likes differnt things but we like to deep fry the turkey. we inject it with differnt things like coca cola, cajin spices, butter, dale's stake sauce. rub butter all over the out side and sprinkle cajin spice over the butter . wrap tightly in suran rap sit in frig for about a day and a half. when we get ready to cook it in a deep frier you take the rap off cook for 3 min per lb.

bake beans i get bush beans , hamburger meat browned, onion , pepper, any BBQ sauceyou like mix all and bake in oven for about 15 min.

bake and surve rolls
add what ever else you like for thanksgiving have fun

MAKE YOUR PIES AND SALAD THE DAY BEFORE. YOU COULD ALSO DO YOUR TURKEY THE DAY BEFORE AND WARM IT UP IN THE CROCK POT. MAKES IT REAL EASY AND YOU CAN STILL WATCH THE PARADE ON TV.
