Bring bilingual definitely helps.

Well, these are the usual criteria.

1) Good academics (important)
2) Active in extracurriculars (important)
3) Volunteer work
4) Part-time job
5) Personal qualities
6) Good recommendations
7) Good SATs

To get into a good college, there are a number of things admissions people look for--good grades; an interesting background (culturally, geographically, talent wise, athletic ability,etc.); good SATs. Yes, it should help a little to be bilingual, but if you come from a foreign country, that might possible be a plus too, as you will likely have a unique point of view. Good luck.
