ive been shy and emo for the past 2 years, i want to stop that, i go near people but i dont know what to say. how do I start a conversation?

Well hun.. if youve been emo .. for the past two years... Okay actually let me just say this. i have this friend.. some people call her goth, some people call her emo.. although she dresses like a prep. she's only cut once in her life. but, if you do something once, people are never gunna stop labeling you from before. So, first of all, you'll always be called emo. I hope you've realized that by now. Anyways, if you wanna start a conversation, it depends on the person. For example, you could go up to them, say Hi I'm ( your name here ) and then you could talk about school or sports or whatever you think they would be into. Just a simple "whats up" can be an easy way to start the flow of conversation. . with a person who likes to talk. So basically, it all depends on the person and their personality.

Don't listen to Baby Chay, she obviously doesn't know much about life. The way you feel is completely normal.
Firstly you approach and say Hello, i'm sure knew that though, you can talk about where they are from, where they grew up, their job, their school. Once you get some basic information from them and know a little of who they are, you can talk about the details you've learned.
Current events are the easiest aswell read the newspaper watch tv news.
Don't ask ladies real personal questions, they may find it a little rude or too forward when you start getting answers just pick topics and go from there.
Girls can be shy also, so if you find about what they are interested in and start talking about that you may never shut them up.
Its not always Shopping, clothes and make-up you know.

We all have the capacity to be social - it's built into us; this includes you! Start by talking to sales people, ask questions about the products. Stand up straight, look them in the eye! Practice, practice, practice. After a wile you'll get more comfortable. Then talk to people in public, just say hello, introduce yourself; you don't have to do all the talking - let them talk also. Remember, we're all the same under the skin!!! Nobody is any better then anybody else; we all have insecurities. After you have an interaction, give yourself some positive feedback - give yourself credit for speaking up. You may be a little nervous at first, but other people simply can't tell.

That's great that you want to stop that. Just say hello, then comment on anything- school/work, their clothes, their hair, their shoes, even the weather. Ask the person about their interests- do they play any sports? What's their favorite class? With any luck, the conversation should become natural soon. Good luck! :) Don't forget to smile people will think you're a lot nicer if you do.

Here is a line that has worked successfully for me. You see a girl that you like, you walk up to her confidently and then say, " Hello, I'm (state your name)" and extend your hand to greet her. From that moment she can introduce herself or tell you to **** of. Either way, you win because you didwhat you set out to do. If she introduces herself then you need to listen to what she is saying, she will tell you what she wants. In all the times I have done this, I have never once been injured, well maybe not physically. The neet thing about girls is they are not complicated, they are pretty stright forward and will tell you what they want if you ask them correctly.

ask them questions like: "hey! what did you do today?" that will lead to other topics. questions r da best for a conversation like music, movies, stufff... ull see
