I got nominated for a Lead-America conference. How should I raise the money?

Lead- America conferences are $2000 a piece. Who should I ask and what should I do for money. Please give me list of sites also, if you can, on where to find people who would contribute. I appreciated all of your answers, THANKS!

Petition your local school board, newspapers, radio and tv stations, churches, VFW's, Masonic and Eastern Star lodges, and private business owners in your community to contribute to your expenses, providing them with the purpose of Lead-America, speakers who will be addressing the conference, and what you want to bring back to your community from your experience.

Sell yourself as a young student looking toward the future, open to ideas that might help your community, your county, state, and even the world.
