Poor and rich alike can make a choice to join the armed forces.
Your question makes no sense. Where are you getting your sources?
Quit blaming everybody else and take responsibility for your actions!!!!!

I don't think anybody anywhere is any safer than they would have been had the U.S. not occupied Iraq.
I think the Republicans learned last Tuesday that if the U.S. is not out or Iraq by election day 2008 the next president will be a Democrat and the Democrats will have even larger majorities in the house and senate.
What I don't get is why the voters were not smart enough to throw W and company out of the white house in 2004.
p.s. Anybody who thinks $26,000 per year makes somebody "middle class" is very misinformed about where the "middle" is.

Good question. I'm wagering that the GOP is going to declare "victory" and make sure we're out of Iraq before the 2008 elections. The sad thing is, Iraq will probably fall into the hands of religious fanatics who hate us even more than Saddam did.

Why aren't the Little People proud to die taking a rich kid's place? Don't they know that the anointed sons of the Master Class are too precious to ever get hurt or to even break into a sweat? The fact that God made them born rich proves that He loves them and hates the rest of us, unless we worship them, serve them, and sacrifice ourselves for these, His preppy elect.
To be is to obey. Kneel whenever you see a rich kid. Bow your head into the dirt and let him step on your neck. Only then will you be saved--Je$u$ says so.

Hilary Clinton, John Kerry, and the whole crew signed the paperwork to put them over there. The Democrats want your kid to die as much as anyone. Don't think becuase the Democrats are in power Sadam doesn't get hung and Muslim Terrorists start planting flowers and playing ring around the rosey with Catholics. More heads will roll tomorrow, same old, same old.

Questions such as this are real discouraging.
You don't have a clue, and, worse, you don't even know it.
First, Bush didn't "send" anyone anywhere - it's an all volunteer military.
Secondly, and most importantly, no one knows if this policy will work or not. It certainly won't work if we quit before we're finished.
The only way to fail is to quit trying. Perhaps we need to do things differently - but make no mistake, we must win this war.

the rich kids were safe before the iraq war. what does safe have to do with it? the war will help the kids of oil executives get two yachts this year instead of just one, and that's way more important than your life or mine.

haha "i continuously am amazed... blah blah blah"
yeah, what a great freedom we have.
free to pay a gross amount for necessities like bread, milk, gas.
free to be taxed into submission for every purchase we make, only to have to PAY MORE every year due to a federal income tax??!
A TAX on the money you EARN through work sweat and blood, 365 days a year!!??!
sure its not as bad as 3rd world countries, but Canada is starting to look real nice.
what are we fighting for? the right to pay $3.50 a gallon for MILK AND GAS!!!
this country is a joke, and has been since the Nixon administration, as far as i can remember. and probably long before that as well.
