TODAY I AM 4 WEEKS AND 3 DAYS I HAD A VAGINAL ULTRASOUND YESTERDAY AND DOC COULDNT SEE ANYTHING, EXCEPT THAT MY CERVIX WAS REALLY THICK? IS THIS NORMAL ? IS IT JUST TOO EARLY AND WHEN CAN I EXPECT TO SEE ANYTHING? ALSO, MYHCG LEVELS 4 DAYS AGO WERE 109 THATS WHEN IT WAS CONFIRMED THEN THE NEXT DAY IT WAS 290 THEN YESTERDAT IT WAS 650. IS THAT NORMAL FOR 4 WEEKS? PLEASE ANY FEEDBACK WOULD BE APPRECIATED IM REALLY STRESSING B/C NOTHING WAS SEEN ON ULTRASOUND.

Yes, it is normal. I am 13 weeks pregnant and my doctor wouldn't do one on me until we knew I was at least 8 or 9 weeks. He said it would be no need to do one before then bacause there would be nothing to see yet. Just so your levels are up and they are so its O.K. Just wait, I had my first ultrasound at 9weeks 3 days. It's worth the wait. The baby is still very small then.

I had an ultra sound at 5 1/2 weeks and all the doc could see was the sac...not even a fetal pole. 2 weeks later I had a normal ultra sound and the heartbeat was 146 BPM.

it is normal not to see anything at 4 weeks thats why you usually go for a scan at 12 weeks, your cervix will be thick because your pregnant!! i think your hcg levels are normal for 4 weeks but to put your mind at rest why dont you ask your doctor or midwife?
