What about gay/lesbian couples?

That is definitely a relative question. Most people consider a gentle peck on the lips to be an acceptable exchange in public, however something lengthy and accompanied by some groping would probably be unappreciated by those witnessing it. There is nothing wrong with a public display of affection, provided it is done with some restraint.
Unfortunately, public displays of affection by homosexual couple are probably received with less enthusiasm by most of society. Urban and metropolitan areas are probably the most accepting and rural areas as well as some tougher neighborhoods would be the least accepting.

I find this to be an interesting question. We all want respect & to be accepted in just about everything we do. Unfortunately, we are not in a perfect world. Is it O.K for gay/lesbian couples to kiss in public, YES. What I think you really want to know is," Will this action be accepted." Probably not because being a hetrosexual is considered the NORM the status quoe.

Thank Goodness there is no law about kissing in public. All people should be allowed to kiss their Loved ones as long as it is kept decent.

I don't care what your sexual orientation is, if you want to hold hands, kiss or maybe make out for a few minuets, I think that it's okay to do it in public. As long as you are not having sex, it should be fine.

Sure, I kissed my Sweetie in public today and me and Her saw two gay guys kissing as well, so what? Who cares any more, it's the now and for God sakes they're People too.

When done tastefully, it's okay for couples of either orientation. I just don't want to see couples with their clothes half off and hands all over the place.

I think a peck is fine for both heterosexual and homosexual couples. But heavy kissing and making out in public is not acceptable for any type of couple.

A light peck on the lips is fine, however, a prolonged grope is in very poor taste, no matter who is doing it. I wish teenagers would learn this!

According to my husband, any PDA is absolutely unacceptable! However, if someone else is making out...he'll gladly watch!
