In response to Rob:

that's why we try not to kill retgular citizens of Iraq, thats why its taking 4 years, we are not just killing everyone or anyone like Al-qeida is. So what I'm saying is that if USA wanted to be a bastardd like Al-qeida they could wipe their very existence (Iraq) off the map!

War is largely a matter of conviction. If you are convinced that you will lose, then you will. It's just like anything else.

Granted, if AQ was so kind as to give the Coalition a straght-up conventionnal style war, it would be over very, very quickly. While they have large numbers, they cannot hope to match the logistical, technological, professional and overall qualitative edges of t he allies in a head-on fight.

So, the leaders of AQ are trying to convince the Americans that they will lose. Once they succeed, the first two basic principles of war, namely Selection and Maintenance of Aim and Morale, will go right over the side, and it will be impossible for the Coalition to fight effectively from that point on.

I'm wondering where he got the idea of calling our President "The most stupid in American history." Could it be from those who vehemently oppose him here in this country? Yet they insist that they aren't helping our enemies in anyway by using that sort of behavior. He gets confidence and says those things because the majority of Democrats have been saying that sort of thing--and worse--for quite some time. NOW they are the majority in the government so I'm sure he, and many others around the world, believe that he is supported in his beliefs by those who won the election. Why wouldn't he think that?

Indeed, if the President took my advice, he'd send division after division into Iraq, close the borders, and stop traffic. They'd then round up all the imported "insurgents" bit by bit and any neighborhood found harboring them would be bulldozed. It's time to stop taking their nonsense and do what needs to be done.

USA has already lost the war against Al Qaeda. And the reason is not Osama but George W. Bush and the expert idiots surrounding him. You sound young an naive and chances are that you will see the end of this once great modern democracy your self.

Because al-Quaeda is a Muslim group, and despite what you may hear or read, Islam is not a religion of peace. It is a religion of violence, hell bent on world domination (just read the Koran for proof). To say that the USA will not win this war is to stay loyal to the religion, a religion that believes that if a Muslim warrior dies in a jihad, or holy war, they will go to heaven and be given 70 virgins to spend eternity with. Good luck with that, bin Laden...I am SO looking forward to Muslims and Muslim apologists calling me names for this answer.

He said that because the democrats took control of the house. Several of the terrorist groups were very happy when that happened
