Take the battery out of it right away!! So the water doesn’t short circuit the electronics. Then like some of the other people said, (minus the sarcastic remarks) let it dry out. If that don’t work, you might want to exchange it if you are able to. As a last resort, and if you know what you are doing, try taking it apart BE REALY CARFUL and try to clean up the water residue.

dont worry same thing with cell phone i once submurged mine in water b/c i wanted a white one for chr. inst. of a black one and it still worked lol

i think i can help ya out on this one. use your blower to blow dry ( it really works), if it still doesnt Use a towel to remove as much of the water as possible. [Then] set it on the back of your computer monitor or TV screen over the heat vents. This is usually the perfect amount of heat to fix your phone. The convection action of the heat vents will help carry away the moisture in your phone. Leave the ipod on the heat for at least 2-3 days.

I would put it next to a fan or a vent for a day or two. Then give it a shot, it worked surprisingly well with my cell phones, I constantly dropped my nokias and took them apart as much as possible put them next to a fan for so many hours and put em back together and they would always work when before the screen was just blue. However they never work quite as well.
