Pretty much, yes. Child support is based on these factors: both your and his income, amount of time each of you has with the child and if there are children from other marriages.

Now that he has to pay you child support, he can go to the court and change his first child support order for the other kids and make that monthly amount lower, but still since she has 2 kids she will still get more than you, but the $1120 would go down if he went to court and said he has another child he has to pay for now.

So the fact that he pasy for his previous children will make your monthly amount lower.

I see it this way: if you are working then you are supposed to pay for your child as well, and circus tickets are expensive so look for free things for her to do. Is the child's father listed on the birth certificate? Is he the "proven" father by a cheek swab dna test? Could it be he's running because you tricked him into your having a child, or could it be the child is an unintended consequence of sex and one night of enjoyment, well those are the reasons most guys won't pay for kids. If the father won't pay then it's on your shoulders to support the child. Some day that kid will want to know why their father abandoned them. So another question would be would you have approved him seeing his daughter if he paid his support payments? Is this guy a jailbird? Maybe he had a bad background and doesn't want to get stuck like his father was stuck. But there's the other situation, are the two of you married? divorced? The courts provide a list of how much a guy is supposed to give his ex-wife for each child (and she only gets alimony IF she has no education so as to get a job). In place of child support the government has programs, like food stamps and such. So if you don't want to receive the state money then who else do you think will help you support your daughter???? It's between you and the government now.

It depends on what state your in, but I'm pretty sure that they go by a percentage of his income and divide it, so I think that his other children will receive less, so they will all get the same. But then some peeps I know, when they got remarried, because the new wife also worked, they combined her income with his to do the math for the child support, now thats not right. (in Sea.,Wa.)

It depends upon the judge, I think. I know a girl who is getting divorced and she is getting $2000 for her two kids, and the other ex is only getting like $800. The husband's salary/assets increased since the first settlement so that's why her rates went up.

But, you should probably try to work out your marriage rather than thinking of dollar signs. If you cannot work it out, find a good attorney.

The first two get first crack at what the old man has. Your little one will get a fair share of what is left and the husband will suffer for not watching where he is putting his package. Sorry it did not work out but You should have been smart enough to recognize the loser.

well, the amount always gets smaller because they have to do it by a percentage without killing his entire take home pay. depending on the costs of childcare and health costs your child accrues, it wont be as high unless the cost of living for your child is substantial. so yes, you may be looking at less.

Yes. You have 1 kid. She has 2. You will get less because you have fewer children.
