I'm an AP student and usually get around 5-6 hours of sleep each night. It's hard to balance the huge workload with all my extracurriculars and a job. I can get anything from 1 hour to 4 hours of homework each night. I also am on the varsity track team, so that takes up 1-2 hours a day. Extracurriculars: newspaper, math team, french newsletter, french club, model UN, mock trial, literary magazine. Those take up an hour a day. And my job averages 15 hours a week. So that leaves very little time to rest. I try to hang out with my friends on the weekends, but I'm usually working those days. But this would all be worth it if I get into Yale.

I took 3 AP categories in my senior yr in top tuition, in conjunction with non-AP however nonetheless academically enriched Physics and Physiology publications. I bought approximately 6 hours of sleep in step with night time -- nine:00 p.m. via three:00 a.m. (I did homework from three:00 a.m. to approximately 6:15 a.m., additionally to what I'd performed the earlier night time). No female friend, no social existence to talk of, and I did not even watch Laverne & Shirley each week. I do not remember 17 a tender age... however I'd tailored to this variety of agenda at age 14. My ninth grade World History trainer was once a homework-assigning fiend.
