I am trying to remember a spanish male name which is also used by English and American males but which has a slightly different pronunciation (emphasis on o or a) I cant remember. Can people help

Martin is a name commonly found in Irish people. It is a Spanish name that crossed into Ireland when Spanish sailors, of the Spanish armada, were marooned on the coast of Ireland. It is spelled the same way , however, pronounced, "Marteen".
