I'm single, and I've been applying for jobs, and attending school, though I sometimes or often yearn to connect with others. I've met and known some people, but they're not the ones I can always hang out or talk with. A couple of them seem always busy with work, the recent ones, I had been hanging out at the college, are married and have kids.

I want to work again, and possibly volunteer. I feel like my life is limited without a job. I also have this feeling that I need to meet new people again, especially single people.

You are only limited by the amount of money you have to spend. Which is zilch if you are on the dole and have to pay rent.

If you don't have money, it will only permit you to socialise with people with no money.

When you socialise with people who have money, you need to be prepare to spend the same amount of money they spend when going out.

In other words, not having a job will screw up your life in more ways than one. You cannot succeed in this life without a job.

I do not work at the moment. I have been off all summer. I always decide the day before what it is that I will accomplish the next day.
I have met a bookie, he is a very interesting person. He does not work and also can not find like minded people.I have met homeless people out and about. I have met several entreprenuirs. I also met a gambling addict.
The thing that I have learned about people without jobs is that it is very hard to catagorize them. Some are positive some are negative. Some are really screwed up and some are as bright a person as you will ever meet.

If you are one of the jobless. Hang out at cool places and be friendly to everyone you meet. Remember these (US) people are not easily lumped into a group. Hang out at the source of your hobby. If you like boating spend your day at the dock. If you are a skier hang out at the lodge. Don't hang out at the bar and don't stay home and watch the idiot box.
