it is readily accepted the politicians from the opposing political party deceive, so why is it such a quantum leap to imagine that your own guy's might be the same?

And after the realization that it is possible that most politicians lie, how long has it been this way, and how then can you not question all that you have been led to beleive?

ok, there is a pattern emerging here, so why then do I get so much resistance when I say you have been decieved, it's all lies?

Deciet is not limited to just elected officials, ever see a criminal trial, as soon as a police fficer takes the stand the lies begin, its common practice, they lie to get elected, they lie to increase their power and usurp our constitutional rights, lie when they get caught, if poligraphs were reliable, I'd say give them all one every time they speak

They all lie. The truth is that no completely honest politician can get elected. There are differences though. Democrats are bad lairs. They lie the same way little kids lie; you can read it in their faces. Republicans are professional (like Condi Rice – the Bush administration’s ‘Designated Liar’) or, in the case of conservative Republicans, pathological liars. Right-wing Republicans cannot help themselves. They lie even when it would benefit them to tell the truth. It is really very weird behavior.

Politicians have been liars and deceivers since the art of politics was invented. However, I blame not the politicians for that but the idiots who believe them, vote for them and continue allowing them to do so more than one term!

The only politician I can think of that didn't really lie was Jesse Ventura, and he got kicked out pretty quickly. I remember him saying something about religious people being weak minded. If he's not scared of the backlash from that statement, you know he's being honest.

If you ask a politician they will say never. They are soooo honest that they make up for my little white lies.

I would guess 99 percent. I was told once that every man has his price. Some are just higher than others.
