OMG "placebo headwound" just because YOU don't like the band doesn't mean they're talentless. I love that band and always have, and I'll bet that they've got a whole lot more talent that YOU. AFI aren't 'lame' either, and who are you to call them that? Even if they were lame, look where they are now- rich and famous. And guess what you are? Nobody

AFI is the best band in my opinion. They are unique 'cause they explore different styles of music and if someone says they suck now, that person is not a true fan. AFI's true fans like both the old and the new. the main reason that they lost some fans was because they became mainstream, and also cause the style of music is a little different, but like i said, those people weren't true fans.
I cant really comment on the subject of hot topic because i actually have never been there, but that doesn't mean im afraid to be caught there.

As for AFI, I've always liked the American Film Institute. Who told you people don't like it anymore?

I love AFI, and have for years (since "Very Proud of Ya" came out). I actually like how they've evolved over the years.
I'm too old to be shopping at Hot Topic now, but I seriously doubt anyone would be afraid of getting caught in there.
