OVER EAT AND WATCH FOOTBALL:-)

I get up early and go to the City Mission and help feed the homeless for about half a day, then I deliver meals to the homebound that have no family, then I will go to my daughters' house this year and help her with whatever she's doing with dinner. She is just learning to cook and has not got the hang of it yet, but she's trying. I believe Thanksgiving is the day to say "Thanks for what we have" and to make sure that everyone has something to eat! Sometimes people are so busy with their everyday life that it's easy to forget all the things that we should be thankful for...I have been blessed and I hope that we all can remember the good things that life has brought to us. I can also say that I have been down and out, depressed and faced many struggles in my life, but I choose to remember those and put those experiences into the way I live today, by helping others the way I was helped when I most needed it. Hope all of you have a memorable Thanksgiving and please don't forget all the people who are homeless and the elderly who are alone.

This year, we'll be at my in-law's place, which aught to be fun. Hopefully, we'll have a bit of snow...it always makes being inside that much cozier!

Considering that my mother-in-law doesn't like turkey, and in her new place, doesn't really have a big dining room, I'm hoping to convince her that we should go out to eat. They're in Nevada, so I'm sure one of the local casinos will have a great buffet!

We'll watch football, perhaps play some outside, if it's not too cold. Drink some beers, maybe play some board games with the kids. The women will talk about the men, and the men will talk about the weather...Typical family stuff!

Thanksgiving was created to thank the earth for all its gifts of food and minerals and for the creator of this planets birth. This thanks should be said on a daily basis, but no, a holiday has to be named and followed instead of showing affection and great company each day we are alive....

I usually get together with my family and have a lovely dinner. But this year, well, my Dad passed away, my Sis and brother in law are going someplace else, my other sister may not be around....so I'm going to save alot of calories!

I might volunteer at my church, they have dinner all day for anyone who wants to come by.
