hydrolysis is the splitting of water
a disaccharide is a sugar formed from 2 simple sugars like glucose or galactose

when the water is split into H and OH, the disaccharide splits as well into the 2 simple sugars that it is made from

the H and OH complete the formulas of the 2 simple sugars so that they are both C6H12O6

disaccharide can be divided into three that are maltose,sucrode and lactose...

If maltose is hydrolysed,it will produced two glucose
If sucrose is hydrolysed,it will produced one glucose and one fructose
If lactose is hydrolysed,it will produce one glucose and one galactose
