Advantages and disadvantages of the new fabric, Tencel?

Tencel is a recently developed fabric made largely of wood pulp. What are the pros and cons of clothing made of this material?

Tencel is far from new. It has been around for over 20 years.
Pro: Feels great to wear, light, cool & comfy.
Con: Expensive to produce, therefore expensive to purchase.

Pro: It belnds well with other fabrics. Con: expensive to produce.
