because the media today is a piece of crap
and there's always white people in all da commercials.

I hope I answer ur question cuz i learned @ my acting classes, Well because the person who advertizes first of all has to go with the product, for exapmle I am a teen and I have a baby/concieded/ voice so they would probably give me a cookies/ships or shopping commercial. Usually they pck pretty people to be in a commercial so that people think oh since she/ he is hot i will look hot too, but thats not always true, most of the tim it is though!

They always show slender good looking people in commercials becuase its more appealing to some people to see a slender attractice woman in lingerie than it is to see a large woman. Society has put too much of an emphasis on people being slender and fit so that is what you will see on tv. Besides half the clothes you see being advertised on television don't even come in a large size so they have to put a slender woman in them.

For image purposes. They use it almost like subliminal messages. It gives the thought to some that the jeans will make you look like the models on the commercials. To me, it also contributes to one's self concious due to the fact that they may not be able to fit in the jeans advertised.

Advertising is aspirational. They show good looking people so the consumer will think that buying/using the product they will look just like the talent.

because with them noing are not noing they are descrimanating against over weight people and life is not all skinny good skin good hair ect. life isnt perfect and life is cruel sometimes
