I have a 3/4 ton truck looking to haul trailers [ I guess it called hot-shoting ] as a job , if anybody knowes of any sights in North /East Texas Please let me know

My husband does this for a living. Most trailer manufacturers have contracts with transport business's. Call transporters in your area. You would have to be D.O.T. inspected (Department of Transportation) for your truck and have a physical, and have a Chauffeurs license. You would have to have special insurance on your truck. Many transport places hire part timers or full timers to pull for them. You would have to be responsible for your own taxes and social security. Good luck

Along with the comments somebody else added I would also say that FEMA is always hiring folks to haul trailers on the Gulf Coast. Two friends of mine are doing that right now out of Baton Rouge. Just as the factory hauling though you have to be DOT certified and have special insurance, etc. There is usually a waiting list, but if you are persistent the turnover rate will let you get on fairly easily.
