I have one word for you BOOM
What are you nuts. Do you have a death wish. One spark from any source and you buy the farm.
Please don't do it.
You are just asking for your life to end.

I believe Naptha is very volatile, so I think it's a bad idea. If you want to use a solvent to clean parts you should choose one which is safe in every circumstance that occurs in you place of work. How hot does it get in the summer? Are there any fires / electric motors / electric heaters / arc welders / smokers around?

Pretty damn dangerous. Naptha is very similar to lighter fluid or camp stove fuel. Besides the explosion hazard from a lighter fluid mist, the vapors are bad for you. Hope you're not doing this for work, its illegal under EPA rules for haz-mat and pollution.

If you've got to use it, do it outside and wear a really good resperator. Even paint thinner would be safer.

Well, it isn't as bad as laquer thinner.I clean my spray guns out with laquer thinner and have for over 20 years.I spray it thru the gun to clean the gun,not parts.I use naptha in my zippo lighter all the time and it works great.
