Just curious. Once I lived in a rural area and was fortunate enough to have both.

They are both wonderful animals. I love the deer and the babies are so cute. It is easy to protect your plants and shrubs from the deer. Just use wire netting. Put a salt block out too. Fox clean up the rodents and help in so many ways. But you have to keep them out of the Hen House.

The deer are much more beautiful, overall...
But the foxes won't total my garden overnight, take out my fruit trees, and wreck the front end of my car in an accident!
Nonetheless, we've got mostly deer, a few foxes by us.....and I like both....and need to replenish the deer lick (to heck with the garden, and I can always wrap the trees....)

Deer because my dog would chase off the foxes. I would really love to have both but, it wasn't an option.

I would prefer none but since deers are less harmless i would go with the deers.
