All polls are biased, and this MSNBC poll is not exempt. But with 354203 responses I think it deserves to be taken somewhat seriously. For those that disagree dont worry. Nancy Pelosi has said "impeachment is off the table" Howard Dean said "I know half the country wants us to impeach the President and all that kind of stuff but we're not gonna do that - we're not gonna do that."

Do you believe President Bush's actions justify impeachment?

Yes, between the secret spying, the deceptions leading to war and more, there is plenty to justify putting him on trial.
87%

No, like any president, he has made a few missteps, but nothing approaching "high crimes and misdemeanors."
4.4%

No, the man has done absolutely nothing wrong. Impeachment would just be a political lynching.
6.6%

I don't know.

350,000 poll entrants is a heck of a lot. Most of the polls we see are from a couple of hundred people.

Yes, I do have to agree many of these polls aren't ran fairly in respect for the Republicans.
Although I don't think he should be impeached. Just so we can watch him attempt to fix what he's done.
But remember Rumsfield was fired to take the blame for the war. Now people are going after Cheney. After he's gone all that's left is Bush. And then I think he'll be a lot closer to being impeached.

It's an internet poll, not one by Gallup, Zogby, Rasmussen, or any of the other professional polling organizations. There's no actual methodology to making sure the poll is accurate. There are biases in every poll, but the professionals try and weed that bias out as much as possible.

Let's say they put the poll question on FoxNews.com. If they did, the vote would be dramatically different, since, as a rule, conservatives tend to favor Fox News Channel while those of a more liberal view will favor MSNBC.

But to be honest, Howard Dean is almost certainly exaggerating when he says "Half the country wants Bush impeached." I haven't seen any actual Gallup polls on the subject and would not take any stock in what Dean says about his biggest political enemy without serious evidence to back it up.

As to whether or not Bush should be impeached for lying, remember that Clinton was actually impeached for lying under oath to a grand jury. Sure, it was BS, but that *is* a crime in every U.S. jurisdiction. Bush may have made some bad calls, but making an unpopular decision based on faulty information is not a crime. If bad decisions were, I think everyone on here would be in deep trouble.

Also, the Democrats don't have enough support to impeach Bush anyway. Most of the new crop of Democrats are moderate to conservative, and on a lot of issues would line up with the Republicans. Bush may be unpopular in the Northeast and West Coast, but in quite a lot of other places, his approval ratings are actually above 50%. So, no, there wouldn't be any support for it. And even if the Democrats tried, they couldn't muster enough votes in the Senate to do it -you need 2/3 of the Senate to vote for a conviction (67 senators).

at the start, in case you will cite a source you're able to a minimum of use something greater creditable and genuine then an internet information survey. Secondly, you needless to say do not understand something approximately impeachment while you're even asking this question. you are able to not merely impeach a president through fact "87%" of the human beings think of he could be. As an entire, individuals understand little or no approximately politics yet all and sundry has an opinion. in all possibility a minimum of two/3 of the those that took that survey do not comprehend the approach of impeachment or what it even involves. A majority of the abode of Representatives do not approve of the conflict in Iraq and over 0.5 do not approve of ways the President is coping along with his job... yet they have not further costs against him. you're able to deduct that he has not committed "treason, bribery, or different severe crimes or misdemeanors," that are impeachable strikes.

That is a very interesting poll, I am actually shocked by the results. I do think he is deserving of impeachment...well, at least A LOT more deserving than Clinton was. No one died when Clinton lied about a BJ, and well you know how many people have died as a result of Bush's lies. Do I think it will happen, no---Dems are a lot less reactionary than Repubs....we are almost too laid back.

Have you seen the "Loose Change" video that was released on the internet...it will really make you look closer w/ Bush's involvement w/ 9/11. Just google it, you'll find it...it's jaw-dropping!! Everyone should watch it.

As a Poli-Sci student, who doesn't take anything but Statistics, after Algebra, I can tell you Statistics are more manipulable than soft clay. That said, No. It's a waste of tax dollars and Congressional time. We The People deserve better management than some stupid Impeachment Hearings, which could potentially also blow up in Congress' face.

You people are idiots if you believe anything about this poll. The Kos and other liberal blogs regularly "freep" these NON-SCIENTIFIC MSNBC polls. High traffic far-left liberal blogs send their minions to these ridiculous MSNBC polls to vote for the most anti-Bush answers regularly, and the ridiculousness is beyond comprehension.

Sadly, there are enough idiots out there who see this and think it reflects even an ounce of truth. Even more sad is that being an idiot doesn't prevent them from voting and it's those idiots who's votes put Dems over the top.

Gee, haven't we played this game before? Weren't the Republicans dumb enough to try impeachment in 1998? and where did that get them? Even if they do impeach, that means they would need at least 16 Republican senators to vote to convict for the "high crimes and misdemeanors" that don't exist, and that ain't happening. If you Democrats are dumb enough to try this, go ahead, but you'll pretty much guarantee that the GOP will retake Congress in 2008 and we'll elect a Republican president (not that I should give that advice, for you should never interfere with your enemy while he's in the process of destroying himself).

Any "poll" where the population is not random is not worth the paper it's printed on. And 350,000 votes is nothing in a country of 300 million.

Not only do I think he should be impeached but he should also be tried for war crimes against humanity. I really believe this man had allot to do with 9/11.

Because he SWORE to DEFEND and UPHOLD the constitution and allowed so many things to happen that were CONTRARY to the constitution there probably IS a case to impeach him by. But the real question is...Is it worth the time and expense? The answer is NO.
