Here's one for you. No failing grade should be included in a GPA.
We all have many more things at which we do not excel than those at which we do. We tell young people to try, to experiment, but if they do and fail, we punish them by averaging an F into their GPA. If a GPA is supposed to be a measure of accomplishment, then no F should ever be included because an F means that nothing has been accomplished, you are going out with basically what you can in with. The only difference is that you tried. We should not be punishing students for trying.
School appropriate and relevant I might add.

What is a topic that you are passionate about? Something that other people may disagree with your point of view? What do you think of abortion? Stem cell research? Gay marriage? Prayer in schools? The war in Iraq? Making English the official language of the USA? Illegal immigration? Come up with a topic that interests YOU, because if it interests YOU, then the rest will be easy.

OK, persuade me to:
1. Put makeup on the right way....even though I don't like to wear it.........so that takes a lot of persuading.
2. Teach the class the right way to walk in high heels...the guys will think this is a "hoot".
3. Teach the class, why you think college will enhance their life....not make them rich really enchant them...really let them live a better life.
4. Teach the class, how to put on skiis, how to put on skates, or how to ride a skateboard...only if you're allow to bring this to school....if not....make a cardboard skateboard....and then you will really have to persuade me....
Whatever you choose, put your heart into it....the kids and teachers will feel your passion!

Can you persuade your friend to go your favorite restaurant? Can you persuade you friend to buy a car you think she will like? or can you also persuade your friend to shop at a particular shop you frequent often? If yes,choose one of these and give three good reasons why either of what you choose is the best in its class.You only have to convince your reader to like your choice...now get in to writing.....Good luck.

why teachers should give less homework.
why you believe in ghosts (you can bring in visual aides if you do a google image search for ghost photos)
Why Fridays should be a fun day at school
why you believe in life in space
why everyone should go see --- name of your favorite movie
why everyone should read --- name of your favorite book.
