Okay hun, first of all according to my Medical Terminology Encyclopedia: Menstruating problems, occur when we're either stressed, or eating abnormally. Bad diet. And so on. As far as the brown blood, goes... it is old blood thats been in your ovaries, that should have passed the month before. If you age group is anywhere from 34-54, and your missing consecutive months. And know your not pregnant. That is not menopause, its called Perimenopause. My sister & I are going through that ourselves, right now. The last time she went 10 months without a period. I had a girlfriend who went through menopause when she was 35. I have gone 6 months without a period. But, its not considered actual "Menopause" until a woman has not had an actual period, for a consecutive 12 months straight. No spotting, nothing at all. So, you could be experiencing early signs of Perimenopause. Before I started going through Perimenopause, I was getting really wierd periods, as well. Either, they'd be really short light ones, or brown, like your going through. Or, I'd have watery-looking ones. Then all of a sudden I began just not getting them at all, for months. And I'm like I know I'm not pregnant. Because, not only am I "Tied", but my husband & I had just gone through a messy devorce, so I opted not to date. So, what your going through is nothing to be alarmed about. It's just whats left over from your last period. Is all. Dont stress, you'll be okay.. Smile!!

if you are really concerned about it go see your doctor because nothing anyone tells you can help this situation. It all has to do with your body. Light periods are normal and dark periods are normal as well.

Every now and then your period can go "strange". Is there any extra stress in your life? have you been sick recently? Are you sexually active? If you're really worried, go and see your doctor. They'll be able to answer your question better than anyone here because they'll know your medical history.

How old are u? Because if this is ur first time ever getting ur period, then this should be normal. The reason why is because ur period isnt regular. Your bearly starting to get it. so u should be fine.

If your bleeding is dark in color that is old blood and nothing to worry about. Only when it is very very bright red do you need to have concern. Periods start and stop, they are heavy and light, and they seem to do it at their own whim. In 44 years of having mine I saw all kinds of variations. Relax.

It seems normal enough if it is your first period. See how it goes next month, if it is still like that, you need to talk to your doctor, just to make sure everything is OK

Why complain? Better light than heavy. Ugh. Men have no idea what they are talking about when they say women have it easier. If it really concerns you, talk to your doctor about it, but it sounds more like a blessing than anything else.

This is normal. Usually on the first day, it is very light. Soon it gets more and more. Dont worry about it
