since the make up is in powder form it must be getting used up pretty fast. how often do you have to replace your jar of foundation, and how much is it costing you? what are the differences between the full cover and kabuki brushes?

Spending? Too much. LOL, but its easy to do. I am on a BE board and we get obsessed with new colors. I have a huge stock, but I've been using BE for 4 years and have bought foundation 2X. However, I don't wear foundation a lot in the summer. The full coverage (concealer) brush is takklon and designed for spot coverage. The kabuki is a fuller brush I use to 'buff' foundation. I do love a flat top natural bristle brush for foundation application as well.

My tub of foundation usually last about a year and a half, and I spent 30.00 on it. It doesn't take me very much at all now. When I first got it, I used too much and that wasn't the right way to use it. I also use it with Mineral Veil which I have had for a year now. The eye shadows last just as long because you don't have to use as much. I don't have a Kabuki brush ( I want one though), but have noticed the full coverage brush has worked out fine. I think the Kabuki is supposed to help give you better coverage.

I've been using Bare Minerals for a year and a half. I cancelled the automatic "club" shipments because I wasn't using up the makeup that fast, and also because I didn't need the two different colors they send. Now I order the one container of makeup as needed. When you order them singly, the container is larger (9 grams vs the 2 gram size that comes in the kit). The 9 gram containers cost $25 at sephora.com. They last quite a long time, as the coverage is better than you would imagine so you don't need to use much. I have never used the kabuki brush because I don't think I need it - the regular foundation brush and concealer brush are enough. For me the large containers last about 4 months; I use the makeup every day and I have a lot of redness and acne to cover.

You really don't use a lot of it quickly. It covers with such a small amount and really looks natural. I too have several 'stock' colors that I will have for some time in glimmers, blush, and eye colors. I end up spending less then I did using other make-up such as MK or Clinique. Brushes are a personal preference. The kabuki brush wasn't even around when I started using the products so I just use the full cover. Why get another brush?
