Men!
Women were given the right to vote during Woodrow Wilson's 2nd term and WW I essentially by the drive of 2 women!
If you want to see how it happened see a movie with Hilary Swank and Francis O'Connor called Iron Jawed Angels!
A friend wrote and sung the song that takes up the last scene. Her name is Nicola Hitchcock and she was the lead in the group called Mandalay! The song is title "Beautiful". You can go to her website, she is British, and listen to it but it would take the fun out of the final scene!

The one major obstacle to women obtaining the right to vote: Conservative values of the day, which included those who thought they knew more than anyone else and thought they could decide everything for the rest of the world... sound familiar?

It was typical of many psychologists and anti-suffragists to automatically associate feminism with mental illness.
Some thought women too frail to be involved in the physical stress of voting.
Some thought it would lead to foreign aggression because of the weakening of the electorate.
And in a completely frivolous argument, they worried that women would vote twice; that they could hide ballots in their big sleeves!

Unfortunately, some women listen too much to their husbands/bf's opinions instead of deciding for themselves.

Their abuse of the right if they're inclined to vote for liberal sickos who are in favor of agendas such as abortion, ect, that they consider vital to their seflishness.
Or, if they'd vote for a smiling scumbag like Hillary, because they somehow think that she's a champion of women.
I tell you that there's a big danger in women having the right to vote overall, in spite of the fact that there are a lot of sensible and decent women to whom the aforementioned bad qualities would not apply.
