I am a female, am a twin and had twins and my doctor told me that twins having twins is really rare. Identical twins first of all are not hereditary at all but just a chance thing. I am identical and so are my girls. So if he is identical then you probably dont have much to worry about unless the odds stack in favor of twins for no apparent reason like they did with me

The chances of having twins because your partner is a twin are about the same as if your partner was not a twin.

Identical twins are a freak of nature, where the egg divides in two.

Fraternal twins do not look alike (male is different from female) but are hereditary.

Is the baby's father identical or fraternal? If they're fraternal, the chances of having twins usually skips a generation. That is, your baby could produce twins.

Absolutely ZERO. Only your genetics have anything to do with your chances of having twins.

the twin gene isnt necessarily passed down...but it holds in the woman and skipps generations. So if your grandmother was a twin then your odds are better.

twins runs on the mother's side of the family. so not likely. Unless you're on fertility treatments, and then genetics doesn't really have anything to do with it.

twins doesn't run in the "male" genes, twins runs in the female's genes. So odds are small, unless you have twins in your family.
