it was a western made up of three or four sepparate horror stories and had james earl jones as a campfire side narrator. saw it on telly a long time ago and thought it was good.

Looks like "Grim Prairie Tales" 1990.

creepshow maybe that had a story about a hitchhiker that kept getting run over another about a wooden indian statue that came to life one about a lake that ate people and something else dont know who the narrator was hope this helps dude

I remember that i thought it was weird but great. I kept on missing some of the stories, bit like Disney's tall tales.
