depends on from where you download from! Always download from credible sources like microsoft / yahoo etc

Have the alexa removed using a good anti-spyware.

And Yes turning off phishing reporting is good for your privacy.

You mean the way it reports the pages you view to MS? Just turn off the phishing detection.

i would say not, but the phishing feature maybe considered that not sure exactly how it works but if its reporting back anything than yes.

i guess so, its about piracy and stuff. Microsoft's critical updates checks if your running a liscenced copy.
