Fleas are attracted to white paper. Put out some fly paper strips NOT OUTDOORS but in your house where your pets can't get them. Leave a light on over the papers and the fleas will stick to them. Then use flea prevention on ur pets after that. Another big help is to have ur carpets steam cleaned.

SALT. Buy a big bag of salt and sprinkle it very liberally all over your carpets. Leave it there for a week and then vacuum it up. It kills not only the fleas but it dries out their eggs and kills them as well.
After you have done this if you want you can shampoo your carpets and when it comes time to rinse the carpet you use water that has been boiled with bay leaves. There is a natural chemical in their that repels insect. (Make sure the water isn't boiling though when you are ready to use it as rinse water).

Organic Diatomaceous Earth is a powder or dust, mined as a rock from deposits of the mineral occurring natually in the ground.
It is pulverized, and you sprinkle it into the infested carpet. To humans and animals like dogs and cats, it is a harmles powder. To insects like fleas and ticks, it is razor sharp knives that once the walk through it, sticks to the joints in their exoskeletons and cuts into the soft bits in their joints. It cuts into their bodies, then absorbs their life fluids, killing them by a mechanical process, not by a "poisoning" process they would eventually immune themselves to...
Get it at garden centers that carry organic remedies. Do NOT use the DE that is used for swiimming pool filters. That stuff will hurt animals and people as it has been "cooked" and made crystalline.

you purely favor to apply one variety of chemical, and that is one for the canines. you want to regulate the residing house, yet in case you don't love chemical substances there's a clean spray out said as Skoosh, that is pesticide loose. best of all it kills flea eggs and larvae to boot as human being fleas, between the few sprays that does. It does it by coating all fleas and eggs in silicone, suffocating them. Ask a vet to reserve it in for you in case you won't be able to locate one which stocks it. What did you manage the canines with? you should get the right flea therapy, and also you'll't locate those in a save, it must be something from a vets. Chalice

Citric seed oil. There's a cleanser called Citrisolve- you can buy it in health food stores. It's all purpose, non staining and smells fantastic. We had a sofa that we bought that was infested with moths and we soaked it in a solution of that and water. It didn't discolor it and it offed the moths. It also works on fleas. The bottle and the website have all the different formulas for diluting it for different uses. I cannot recommend it strongly enough.
