I switched my coffee to try some herbal apple tea this morning when I came into work. I had 2 cups. I've had to duck out to the restroom probably 5 or 6 times in the last 8 hours. I also had a 1.5L bottle of water (which I have every day) and a Starbucks Frappucino. Its gotta be the tea, right?

yes it is, but also if you haven't had tea before and your body wasn't used to it the tea can have a stronger "side effect" too. the Frapp shouldn't effect you too much. I worked at Starbucks and that stuff is mostly sugar. if you had the coffee based ones, its made with espresso powder not coffee coffee.

The water may be lacking in electrolytes. If so it seems that more goes out than you put in. That added to the yummy and oh so naughty caffeine filled Frappucino will keep you running. Caffein is a diuretic in my experience.

Drink something like San Pellegrino (water) that has a pH of at least 7.5 and the electrolytes and you will hold your liquid better. Remember that you body does want to be flushed out, but too much flushing will rob it of minerals.

Herbal apple tea is not a diuretic, unless there are other ingredients in it or it's "dieters tea" that's simply apple flavored. Are you sure there's nothing else you've done differently?

No and neither is caffine by the way. A diuretic is a substance that acts directly on the kidneys, caffine, and teas do not do this. It is just that you drank a boat load, and you have to pee a boat load. Pure physiology.

If the tea had caffeine in it, then that could be it. It could also have something to do with the Frappucino. That most likely had caffeine as well.
