Okay first time moms...Im 36wks6days pregnant, and expecting my FIRST baby in about 3weeks (due Dec.2). The most common rumor or statement is that first time babies USUALLY come LATE....

Were you EARLY or LATE with your first baby, and Is there ANYTHING I can do that will make it more likely for my baby to come on time?????

orgasms.. .. .. they help with labor. and sperm. my son was born the day after his due date. if you pass your due date, just have sex or something orgasming will make you have contractions and it hurts like hell but it might help you go into labor. as long as you havent lost your mucous plug my suggestions are safe to try.

Not really true. I was a couple weeks early with my first baby. Now one thing is u will have a longer labor with your first then u would if u have had a baby before. Around the time u are due try some moderate walking outside around the house etc, have intercourse if u feel ok about it...these will help labor progress like its supposed to. I hope i helped..good luck!

My first live birth, I was early, 33 weeks gestation. My muscus plug passed late in the 32 week. I don't know what can be done to prolong or speed up labor to be on week 40. Your baby is going to come when s/he chooses to (which is when s/he puts out the hormones to start labor) If you carry to far along (no longer than week 42) the hospital will induce labor since the placenta starts to "turn" after week 42.

Best of wishes.

I was 12 days late, I had stress tests done every other day and it turned out to be that our daughter had the cord around her neck so when she would start going down she would jump up. Normal delivery, everything went great but I remember begging to the doctor to help me deliver. When it was time to deliver I went from 2 to completely ready in a matter of minutes, so don't be surprised if you are not dilating and you start to stress out. You will be fine! Our daughter is 7 now. Good luck!

It is a situation that cannot really be determined until the arival of the baby. I had my son on the due date but when he came out and was examined; the doctor stated that he was late! Go figure...

All of my kids have been born about 2 weeks early.

As I understand it, you should look at your moms pregnancies. If she had her baby(s) early, you will most likey go early, if she went late, you will probably go late also.

My 1st child was due on Dec. 25th (awww) but didn't show up till January 2nd. I think it has to do with how accurate they are with your due date. It's only an estimate anyway.

I was two weeks late with my son. but all of my sisters I have three of them had their babies within a couple of days of their due date it all depends on how acurate your due date really is.
