i want to buy one of them. which one should i buy? and i can only buy one currently

Well, if it's a price matter, I'd got with X. It's older, and it's waaaay cheaper ($20 compared to $50-60?) - timewise, it shouldn't matter. You will buy either game to invest a portion of your life in - and it will probably be the same amount of time either way.
FF 12 has prettier graphics, a nicer combat system, and an intersting license (bonus-leveling) system.... but FF 10 has a pretty incredible story, great music, and quite the intersting leveling system.
Personally, I'd go with the older one first - as someone else said, FF12 is bound to go down in price (eventually), and you will appreciate 10 more if you haven't played an improved game - 12.

Well if money is the issue then why not buy 10 and wait for the price of 12 to drop?

You should by 12 or Dirge of Cerberus.
They have the best combat system.
The weapons and spell's are ******* wicked!!!

Buy FFX great game and you could get it for $20.
