I'm a pretty big fan of the Blade Trilogy (and vampires in general...gotta love 'em)...and the other night I was watching Blade 2 and I thought about one of the famous quotes in the movie. I had heard it many times before (I watch them all the time)...but I didn't really think about it's meaning until this last time that I saw it. Does anyone know what it is supposed to mean? I mean...I could guess a million things that it MIGHT be referencing but I just want to see if any of you brilliant people out there know.

P.S. If you didn't read the title...the quote I'm referring to is "Can you blush?"...

I've seen the movies and too love them. I actually didn't enjoy the 2nd as much as the 1st and 3rd but, whatever. I can only assume that the question is directed to Blade being black and although physically black people do "Blush" we don't show the effects. Another thing is he is a Vampire or Half Vampire, I don't think Vampires blush, not having blood and all, it would be kind of hard.

Why Do You Blush

call me stupid, but i thought it had something to do with the vampire in him. Vampires have no blood flow, ergo their blood can't flush into their cheeks when "blushing". But I do believe *Kevin* has the right idea.

"Can you blush" is an age old anecdote for irony as far as I can tell it, but just for reference s sake, can pale *** vampires blush?
