Have problem with my antifreeze on my 96 truck?
the coolant level is on between high n low

i just got my antifreeze filled up couple weeks ago..but now its already low? what is the problem here?

do i need go to mechanic and see why is already on low?

i dont see any leaks..and i dont smell anything..

how can i save my antifreeze?..i think i gotta go to mechanic again and see why its going down so quickly?

how long does antifreeze last on 96 truck??

Your antifreeze should last for several years and you should not loose any.You need to have the cooling system pressure tested to find out where it is going.

Look for water in the oil and oil in the water. If you're not leaking, blown head and intake gaskets are the most common places to lose coolant.
A tight cooling system can go years without needing antifreeze.

You have a leak, have a pressure test done to pinpoint it, it could be anything from a radiator or hose leak to a cracked block or bad head gasket, I had a 88 Chevy truck doing the same thing, no visible leak or antifreeze in the oil, it turned out to be a cracked block.

The heater administration valve is desirable there and in some situations the administration stem will start up leaking. it is lots much less complicated to get to from below than from on top. be careful while removing it in case you ought to try this - the heater middle pipes are brass and surely deformed.

check your oil.... these trucks are known for intake gaskets leaking coolant into oil.
