Well, Frank, in Portuguese "bons" is the plural of "bom".
It is an adjective and means "good" like in:
good hotels
good friends
good people
And, as I observe that you are a Christian, in Luke 11:34 Jesus says: "If your eyes are good...". It is exactly this meaning of "bons": "Se os teus olhos forem bons...".

In what context? In French, it is the plural form of "bon" which means "good." I don't know if that's what you mean.
