I am looking for some toys that I use to have as a child. I don't know their exact name. They were metal cans that had holes in the top and when you tipped them over and then right side back up they made sounds of various animals. Does anybody remember what I'm talking about? I've been on a few antique toy collector websites and have not been able to find them. Any help would be appreciated!

I think they are just called 'tin animal noises'

I found a link where you can buy them.

I hope this helps and thanks for bringing back some fond childhood memories.

I would try Ebay for sure..I have been able to find all kinds of vintage/antique toys from my childhood on there. Just search "titles and descriptions" and give some of the details of the toy and see what you find. Try different ways to describe it to find the best results.

I do remember those toys! I had one that sounded like a cow, and another one that sounded like a cat. Awww! Very clever! Have you looked at ebay?

they're not really antiques. they still make them. try target or wal mart. or the gift shop at your local zoo.
