Yes, I like the name... I know a sweet nun from my church who is named Bridget, she has helped my family alot... so of course I like the name, I relate it to someone who is kind!

Always sounded like an "old persons" name to me - sort of a "fuddy-duddy" who would be making do with string tied around her trousers because it was functional - not because she couldn't afford a belt.
Hmm, it wouldn't be my first choice as a name. BUT much more importantly, if YOU like the name than I guess that is what matters - at least it isn't so bad your daughter will get ribbed for the name.
It is for your DAUGHTER isn't it.... ;)

I think of a mean snobby girl at my school, so I liked the name before i met that girl but now I'm not so fond of it.

Sounds a little German to me for some reason. Not that that's bad. I think it's a cute name. I think of short, slightly chubby, but cute blond women. Why? I don't know.
