Tell your sister not to worry. The due date that the doctor gives you is only a guide, i think there are only a very small percentage of babies that are actually born on their predicted due date. The baby will come when it is ready, you can't rush nature! My kids were both overdue, the first by 8 days and the second by 6 days, but both came naturally when they were ready. If the baby doesn't come within the next 10 or so days your sister will probably have to go in to hospital to be induced (when a midwife starts the labour), i think this is also fairly common.Hope this helps!

1 day past the due date isn't something to worry about. Most people don't deliver on the due date. With my first pregnancy when I was a week late, I walked 5 miles to try accelerating the birth date. All I can say is my legs were darn tired, and it was still another week before my baby was born.

you ought to stroll around and not relax too lots with the aid of fact the labour can easily provide up in case you relax. in case you ent to scientific institution they could permit you already know to choose for a walk up and down some stairs and so on. ensure you're actually not on your very own nonetheless, make confident your important different remains with you. bypass some the place the place you're actually not too some distance faraway from the scientific institution nonetheless, so it particularly is less complicated and speedier to get there, and make confident your bag is in automobile waiting. walk approximately, then while contractions are approximately 4 - 5 minuites aside, and hurting like hell, you are able to bypass to scientific institution and get booked in. Take some replace with you nonetheless cos it could nevertheless take a on a similar time as, and that they are going to recommend you to depart your stuff there and walk around the scientific institution somewhat, according to risk bypass to the cantine. good success, wish all is going properly.

Babies come when babies are ready!! Dr's will give her up to 2 weeks with careful monitoring of the baby. As long as the baby is still healthy, they will let her go. She may have to have stress tests done--stimulation is given to see how the baby responds etc.
I was overdue 2 weeks with my first, which is not unusual. I did a lot of walking, but nothing really helped.

Try a hot bath and drinking orange juice mixed with a little olive oil. If that doesn't work jump on the back of a motorbike and take off down a bumpy road. You could always try waiting but either way.....Good Luck.

Tell her to walk her little heart out. Walking and sex help jump start labor. Best of luck to her....tell her to hang in there and congrats.
