I don't think the people on Jerry Springer are not acting because I know someone who actually went on that show. She was cheating on her husband with one of his friends. It was hilarious

I don't know what you meant by Montreal (the city?), but Jerry Springer has admitted in the past that he has paid his guests. A lot of the people saying that crap are just looking for their 15 minutes of fame and would do it for free anyway. A lot of them aren't even being paid to tell REAL stories, they're being paid to ACT, plain and simple. It's been years since I've seen that show, but, honestly, after the first season of fans going awry, would ANYONE go on that show to hear 'a secret' from a loved one and really be that oblivious to the blind-siding they are about to be subjected to? Doubtful. Have a great weekend!

They get a free trip and hotel stay so that's basically what they're "paid'.
Some of the people on jerry's show have admitted to faking it just so they could be on tv. Montel's show seems genuine. The Judge Brown and other judge shows are real the cases are taken out of small town dockets. I know two girls who were asked to be on Judge Brown's show one for being bitten by a dog at this guy's house but she refused because her other guy would have found out she was cheating and one was because she had filed for divorce from her husband 3 times due to his infidelity and he refused to sign papers or even meet with lawyers.
She eventually got the divorce after getting proof he was cheating. His excuse was she withheld sex from him after he cheated the first time and wouldn't go back to stripping so he could brag to his friends he was sleeping with a stripper.
