This person was in the same degree as me a year ago and I presume he left after a year and went back home (to another city or university- I don't know), I only have a full name. That is it. How do I begin to find any type of contact details for him?

I have tried to get an alternative email from his uni one and the uni don't have anything else for him.

I have tried emailing a friend of his but it is our holidays and she hasn't replied for over a week. I'm not the kind of person who is willing to embarrass themselves over anyone so nothing outrageous please.

I know he would definitely be interested in hearing from me because at the time he thought I wasn't interested.

Also the friend is really friendly so she would have replied with something if she checked her email- no one checks their uni email anyway but I only asked ifhe had left nothing else. She was a friend then, not someone he knew before or after the degree.

Also I can't believe I have been told to go to the police, that is outrageous and said nothing desperate. Thanks for all the answers.

Don't lie to the police . your lie will get you into trouble.. try yahoo people search or different search engine.. if you knew his approximate age that would help...

Don't do any more or you risk looking like a crazy person. If the friend doesn't respond, that means he doesn't want you to contact him.
