Since I was a child, I suffer from a form of depression called Dysthymia, as well as your average everyday clinical depression. I take welbuterin for it, i've tried other pills without success.

I just came out of a 9 month depression.
I didn't take anything and was on the brink of something really horrible.
And then, click! Something changed in my head, and I can't pinpoint what it was.
Really weird, but I feel so free and amazing and great now. I feel like I can breathe again, I suppose when for the longest time I felt like i was suffocating, and kinda wanted to at that.
Maybe pills would have helped, but I could never get myself to go to the docs.

Yes, I have suffered from depression for about 40 years. Gone through so many different medications I can remember them all, but the most recent is Cymbalta and it's the best I've tried.

yes, i concurrently suffer from both major depression and dysthymia. when you have both it's called "double depression" or something. i've had both ever since probably second grade or so (about 10 years) but i was only diagnosed about 8 months ago because my parents chose to ignore the symptoms. i used to take wellbutrin for a couple months and then i began having bad reactions so i took lexapro till just recently.

Yes I do. I have had 2 nervous breakdowns. Since my Breast Cancer I am on Paxil (8 years) it helped at first but now I am sinking back to the depression.

Pretty much all my life. I don't take pills, I just get really drunk and beat up people smaller than me to ease the pain.

All my life & I'm not on medication at the moment. Doing fairly well too with the tools I'm employing to cope. There's hope.
