Then why do they demand that the majority of people have to go along with the homosexual agenda?
More than 90% of people agree that marriage is between man and woman.
Homosexuals cannot procreate naturally.
My question does not mean I hate any group nor does it express intolerance. I am just very curious to know why?

Great answers! That should give us a lot to think about as one people living on a planet. However, we are not talking about the majority "enslaving" the minority, rather trhe minority forcing their lifestyles on everyone. I would never consider forcing my way of life on anyone, but sharing with them openly.

you say you don't hate nor that you are intolerant....and yet the wording of your question sounds very intolerant.
I don't "demand" anyone go along with any agenda. I don't have and "agenda." I simply believe that people should have equal rights and be free from discrimination.

I agree 100% with farien3. Here in the U.S., we are a republic (not a democracy!), which means that while we have majority rule (what the majority wants to happen, happens), majority rule can never violate minority/individual rights. Therefore, what 90% of the population thinks matters not at all if it is infringing upon individual rights (which it is, in this case of gay marriage). That's all. For me, the ability to procreate has nothing to do with anything about marriage- that is no longer the primary function of marriage.
And remember that nobody is forcing the 'gay lifestyle' on others by asking for equal rights. The only way to force the gay lifestyle would be to point a gun at two guys and make them get married. At least, that's the only way I can see it.
Thanks for being very polite and respectful in your question.

According to your logic, a male and female who are physically incapable (or simply choose not to) procreate should also be banned from marriage.
Marriage is available to all US citizens except for same-sex couples. This is discriminatory and creates a group targeted for exclusion from the rights other Americans enjoy. As the poster above noted, being in the minority does not imply that the majority has the ability to deny you rights. That was one of the things the framers of the Constitution wanted to ensure.
Also, I find the term "homosexual agenda" troubling. What, exactly, does that mean?

No one is trying to force you to be gay. EVERY SINGLE DAY, though, there's any number of people trying to force us to be straight. If ANYONE is "forcing their lifestyle", it's the straights. And that's unacceptable, as you've said. In America, the system is supposed to work such that decisions are made by the majority, but with protections in place for the minorities. And, because I'm curious, could you tell me what items are on the homosexual agenda? I could tell you what's on this homosexual's agenda, but I feel that you're not talking about the same thing.

The only gay "agenda" is to not be fired from a job for the sole reason of being gay, not to be denied a mortgage or apartment for the sole reason of being gay, and not to be turned away at a store or restaurant for the sole reason of being gay; and most of this is legal throughout the United States.
Your facts are also wrong, 90% of people do not agree that marriage is between a man and a woman.
A November 2006 FOX News/Opinion Dynamics Poll that asked "Do you believe gays and lesbians should be allowed to get legally married, allowed a legal partnership similar to but not called marriage, or should there be no legal recognition given to gay and lesbian relationships?" and the result was 30% support legal marriage, 30% supporting legal partnerships, 32% not supporting legal recognition, and 7% unsure.
Since homosexuals cannot procreate naturally, you are inferring that infertile people should also be denied marriage.
You talk about the "minority forcing their lifestyles on everyone" and "I would never consider forcing my way of life on anyone"... I do not know of anyone saying that straight people should be forced into gay relationships, but I do know of those wanting to force their way of life on gay people by saying they can only get married to the opposite sex.

Treating people different from you equally is an "agenda".
You assume that all people not in that minority group are working for the sole purpose of harming those that are (they aren't, by the way).
You give false information that would be entirely irrelevant if true.
But you're not expressing intolerance; right.
"Do unto others"--that's not reason enough? "Don't put all of your effort into making life extremely hard for one small group of people in a way that produces absolutely no positive benefit for anyone else anyway" should actually be enough to cover it too, although I don't think most people actually bother to spell that one out.
Now then, imagine that yourself or someone you care about happens to be in a group that also happens to include less then 10% of the total population... go ahead and make it any type of group, although something entirely beyond your control that has absolutely no bearing on your personality or anything would be the most appropriate. Now then, still so irrelevant? Not wanting to be mistreated for the terrible crime of daring to exist still termed an "agenda"? Probably not, huh?

i didn't know they did? Maybe people are just tiried of fighting hopefully. Why can't we be live and let live? Why do control freaks have to dictate what everybody else does?
If you have such a brilliant mind go invent an alternative fuel.
Quit worrying about what everyone is doing in their bedroom.
I am not homosexual but the world is going to hell in a hand basket and all the Republicans can think of is not the 3000 young men that have died or 150,000 Iraq citizens who have died but all we heard about is gay marriage. Who cares? Really who cares? All the while they are gay?
I mean let's solve some problem besides that.
Do you believe a ban on Gay marriage is going to stop homosexual behavior? Hardly!
Or ban abortions! they did it when it was against the law?
Work on a problem you can actually solve.

What exactly is the homosexual agenda? Is it simply he desire for equal treatment under law? If that's it, then why should majority or minority status have anything to do with it?
Everyone should be treated equally, regardless of whether they're part of a majority or minority group. Who gives a toss that "the majority" doesn't support gay marriage. It's none of their business. A generation ago the same smug majority supported laws banning interracial marriage, most citing their narrow view of what God intended. Thankfully, the courts finally decided that it was no one's business if two people married each other except those two people. The same rule should, and eventually will, apply to gays.

Your percentages are off, but it is better to be more inclusive than devisive. It would do many Americans good to broaden their tolerance levels. I am not saying the asker of this question is intolerant, but in other areas of Yahoo Answers are a great number of ignorant and intolerant homophobes. People like to bring up issues for various reasons.

Just because studies *say* a portion of a population is homosexual doesn't exactly mean it's true. Imagine if you were some in-the-closet male (or female) and a random person asked if if you were gay or straight. You'd probably be more inclined to say straight.
More than 90% of *what* population? A southern Baptist church's?
Neither can all straight women or men, but that's besides the point. Perhaps you haven't looked at the human population recently, but we're certainly not an endangered species.
